Refund & Cancellation Policy

At The Sewing Collective, we take care to provide high-quality workshops, courses, and products. This policy outlines when refunds, exchanges, or credits may apply, in line with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. General
Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if a product or service:
Has a major fault
Is not as described
Is unsafe or unfit for its intended purpose
Outside of these guarantees, refunds are offered at our discretion as outlined below.
2. Workshops & In-Person Classes
Cancellations by You
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the workshop start date may be eligible for a credit to be used towards a future workshop (valid for 6 months).
Cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop are not refundable, as materials and staffing are pre-booked.
Non-attendance (no-shows) are not eligible for a refund or credit.
Cancellations by Us
If we need to cancel or reschedule a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered:
A full refund, or
A transfer to a rescheduled date or alternative workshop
3. Digital Products & Online Courses
Due to the nature of digital content:
All digital product and online course sales are final
Refunds are not provided once access has been granted, unless required under Australian Consumer Law

4. Physical Products (Fabric, Tools, Supplies)
We accept returns on physical products where:
The item is faulty or damaged
The item is not as described
Change-of-mind returns are not accepted.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.

Refunds and credits for children’s workshops follow the same policy as adult workshops. Where possible, we may offer a transfer to another session at our discretion.
