We are bringing you a very special Brunch Sewing Social, because we think there is nothing better than combining our favourite things! A morning full of coffee, pastries, chatting with like-minded people and sewing!

Olivia was a barista for over five years, so she knows her way around a coffee machine! Enjoy delicious coffee made for you right at the studio and locally sourced pastries whilst you work on your sewing project.

Like all of our socials, the idea is that you bring your own project to work on! It’s the perfect opportunity to get some dedicated sewing time in or get help on tricky parts of your project! You can bring your own sewing machine or choose to hire one if you don’t have one. We recommend bringing your own equipment such as scissors, pins etc, but we always have plenty available in the studio if you forget.

What’s included?

  • Coffee, tea and pastries

  • Dedicated sewing space

  • Use of an overlocker and iron

  • Sewing friends!

Hire a sewing machine for an extra $15!

What can I expect?

To sew, drink coffee and eat pastries!!! Sewing socials are aimed at sewists who can work independently on a project. The idea is you bring your machine (or hire one) and whatever project you are working on, and we can sew together, chat, have snacks - how fun!

Help, I don’t know what to sew!

Don’t worry about having something fancy or elaborate to sew! Most people bring a project they are currently working on, do some scrap busting or tick off some tasks they don’t find as fun on their own (cutting out projects, mending etc). Have any questions about what you're planning to sew? Get in touch!

I’m a beginner, can I come?

If you have a project and can comfortably work on it yourself... yes! There will be intermediate sewists if you have any questions, or need help with particularly tricky parts of your project.

If you are a super newbie and interested in starting your sewing journey, take a look at our workshops! These are beginner friendly and will equip you with the skills you need to feel confident starting your own projects!
